Elena is currently a second-year candidate the Kaiser Permanente School of Medicine. She received her B.S in Health Sciences and a minor in Nutrition from Chapman University. Throughout undergrad, Elena worked as a research associate at UCSF, conducting global health and public health research in Burkina Faso. During her time between undergrad and medical school, Elena worked on school-meal access policy and initiatives in the Bay Area for her local school district, helping increase accessibility for students on free-and-reduced lunch programs.
