Community Guidelines

  • The power of forums like Slack is the ability to directly message (DM) someone and ask questions or set up a time to chat. We believe this increases accessibility towards connecting with people, and we hope everyone feels comfortable doing this!

  • We love to hear about cool opportunities and products! However, when folks spam posts to drive traffic or attention to their products with no intention of participating in the community otherwise, we regard that as self-promotion. MD+ was created to be a space for like-minded individuals to find community, not necessarily a place for product or sales to gain customers.

  • Alert fatigue is an all-too recognized issue within medicine. We encourage everyone to be mindful of our fellow community members when posting something repeatedly. Although it would be difficult to formally define what’s considered spam or not, we believe there is general recognition of what appears spam-like in the community. Repeated posting can dilute a community because certain messages will consequently dominate the space
