The primary objective of our policy community is to cultivate an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for medical students, offering them a platform for networking, mentorship, and easily accessible education on policy matters. We are committed to breaking down barriers and making policy approachable for all. To achieve this, we have established op-ed writing groups, where students can engage in thoughtful discussions and contribute their unique perspectives. Our events feature esteemed speakers from the healthcare and policy fields, offering valuable insights and opportunities for meaningful connections. Moreover, our MD+ podcast includes a dedicated policy segment, where we break down complex topics into digestible and easy-to-understand discussions with experts and learn more about their career paths. Empowering medical students with policy knowledge and resources will pave the way for a new generation of healthcare leaders who are well-prepared to make a significant impact in their fields.
