Jennifer is an OMS-III at the University of the Incarnate Word School of Osteopathic Medicine. She earned her B.S. in Biology from Pepperdine University in 2020. After graduating, she spent her gap years conducting research on health disparities within her local community.
During this time, Jennifer also volunteered with a local advocacy group committed to protecting students’ legal right to a Free and Appropriate Public Education. She worked to support individualized education plans that provide meaningful academic benefits and prepare students for success beyond the classroom. This experience sparked her deep interest in health policy at the local, state, and national levels.
Currently, Jennifer serves as her institution’s delegate to the American Medical Association and actively participates in local advocacy efforts through the Bexar County Medical Society. These experiences have fueled her passion for using her medical degree beyond clinical care— aspiring to continue advocating for her patients in the clinic, the classroom, and the community.
