Maya is an M1 in the MD/MA in Bioethics and Health Policy program at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. She is passionate about combining her interests in clinical medicine, entrepreneurship, ethics, and public health in her future career. Before medical school, she was a summer biomedical ethics research intern at Mayo Clinic, an intern at the AMA in the Council on Ethical and Judicial Affairs, and a Dana Neuroscience and Society Planning Grant Next Generation Leader at Harvard Medical School Center for Bioethics. Currently alongside her studies, she is an AI Clinical Fellow and Deputy Safety, Ethics, and Alignment Lead at Glass Health. She is excited to deepen her interests in AI, medical education, and to facilitate community initiatives in MD+ this year. In her free time, she loves watching movies, reading, playing tennis, and dancing.
