Owais is a rising ophthalmology resident at SUNY Downstate and Rutgers NJMS grad. He worked in MedTech as an engineer in R&D at JNJ Ethicon and led an auditory diagnostic app startup backed by $100k in grants at NJIT. He currently consults for an impact-oriented seed-stage venture capital group, the New Jersey Health Foundation. In medical school, he graduated at the top of his class with honors like AOA, published 20+ papers and 100+ research items, chaired the nation's oldest continually run student clinic (SFHCC), and served as the national president of AMMSA, a 501(c)3 present in 150+ medical schools with over 5000 members. He hopes too grow into an industry leader, physician innovator, and angel investor.
